The Christian Community Service Center "Back to School" project will be at Faith Lutheran Church, 4600 Bellaire Blvd. Volunteer for Sorting and Set Up, Saturday, August 2, 7:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or for Distribution to clients Friday and Saturday, Augsut 8 and 9, 7:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

We are hoping to bring back Nicole Garcia, who led last week's Sunday forum on Transgender Issues, for a weekend-long community forum to understand and support our trans brothers and sisters.

The ELCA Human Sexuality Task Force released its draft of the completed Sexuality Statement on Thursday, March 13.  We have until Nov 1 to respond to what some in the GLBT committee see as too little progress.  Please read the report for yourself at http://www.elca.org/faithfuljourney/

Montrose Men's AA Group - 7:00 p.m. Sunday in the Parlor

Jackson Hill Al-Anon Family Group - 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Parlor

Church Social Groups:

Film Crew - Participate in a fun-filled evening complete with dining (appetizers and/or dinner at a neighborhood spot), followed by a film at a local theater or another locale on the second Friday of each month

Lunch Bunch - Join Grace congregants at a neighborhood restauraunt after Worship one Sunday each month

Grace Goes To ... - Travel with Grace to various venues, including museum exhibits, historic spots, and tours of special interest to our community of faith
