Want to Work Directly with Grace Place Youth? Here's Your Chance!

[Grace Lutheran Church is privileged to host Montrose Grace Place, a safe, welcoming environment for vulnerable homeless youth of all sexualities and gender identities, providing nourishment, healthy relationships, and hope for the future. Read more about Montrose Grace Place on the Grace Place page. ]

We train new direct youth workers twice a year. These are those adults who can make the most serious commitment to the youth- this is a hard-core volunteer position! The volunteers who do this work must be 25 years old, pass a background check and references and recieve training in active listening, good boundaries, crisis prevention, drug abuse and mental health issues. Direct volunteers must commit to being a Grace Place at least two nights a month for at least a year. These volunteers are the core group that help Montrose Grace Place nights run well, they eat dinners with the youth and mentor them.

For the right people, the payoff is amazing! You get to know the youth very well, and really make a connection, and a difference in their lives.

Do you think you can be one of our amazing directs? Go HERE for a volunteer application, and email the completed form to [email protected] by September 1st!

Then save two Saturdays, September 24th and Oct 1st, all day, for your direct volunteer training! We can't wait to have you join us!
